The lamp is manufactured
by assembling several parts: the reflector, the first filter, the
contacts, the lamp cage and the burner in which is produced the light.
During the life, the
burner only is degraded, the reasons are explained in
How many hours
will my projector lamp work ?, while the other parts could be
reused with a large saving.
Effectively, the
relamping process can be broken down into five key stages:
-
We receives and evaluates the
customer's spent lamp assembly.
-
The lamp is
disassembled by our
manufacturing.
-
The spent
burner is replaced by a trained technician. At this time additional
components are replaced or repaired as necessary and waste is
recycled.
-
The burner
is aligned by our engineer according to specifications.
-
The
reassembled lamp is tested for functionality. If the unit fails, it
is sent back to manufacturing for further evaluation. However, if
the test is successful, the lamp is returned to the customer,
ready for use.
We will add in the offer the Naked lamp
option when available.
